Masculinity Detox is a campaign that wants men and people, who were assigned male at birth, in short amab, to question the ways in which they deal with emotions. In our society they are taught to swallow their emotions and project strength outwards. This often leads men and amab people to resort to violence, as shown by the staggering number of femicides around the world.

The project deals with different magnitudes of this gender based violence, intimidation and suppression of emotions in the context of the Netherlands and Austria. These topics are brought to a male public through poster series, a video installation and a collection of enamel pins. In this project, men are asked to start listening and hearing non-male voices.
